This kit comes with our upgraded, slide-on friction pads that were introduced in mid-2023. These new friction pads replace the adhesive backed friction pads that have been around since the beginning.

Atlas throttle lock

Saves a lot of pain during a long ride. BUT, the lack of stiffness and pain after the ride is the ducks nuts. Used mine on 3 bikes- no problems.

Needs a size 1.5

2014 Honda NC700X. #2 is too thick, #1 is too thin to maintain a grip. I cheated with a single square of electrical tape on the Stopper Arm to shim behind the friction Pad. Obvious improvement- I could probably use 2 layers of tape but I had already removed/reassembled the Lock 4 times and didn’t want to do it again. The slip-on pads are a nice design improvement over the adhesive pads. Good product.

Product is well designed

The only thing I dislike is that the throttle it held in place using friction from a rubber pad that it pretty easily damaged, but it's cheap to get replacement pads. It also leads to limited/no markings unlike the ones that use screws to hold it in place.

Stuff that works

I use an Atlas throttle lock on my 2020 Honda CB500x that I tour with in South America. I’ve had it for two years and 26,000 kms. Happy with the product so I got one for my bike in Canada.
