The Atlas Throttle Lock is a great solution for bikes that don’t have cruise control. It’s neat, very slick looking and easy to mount. The instructions are super easy to follow. The only thing to really focus on really is choosing the right version (Top or Bottom kit), but the guide on their website is very helpful. I’ve mounted mine on a 2024 Triumph Scrambler and did a 6k trip with it over the summer without issues. Just bear in mind it's not cruise control, it just holds the throttle in place, so be mindful on up and down hill stretches.
I was suffering from “numb thumb” every time I rode my Yamaha ATV. After converting it to a Motion Pro twist throttle…it helped, but I still needed to give my right hand a break every now and then. The Atlas fit on the Motion Pro perfectly, and now when I need to shake out my right hand, I put it on cruise and steer with my left hand for a minute or so. Perfect solution! Also, when winching in neutral, it’s nice to set a higher idle with the Atlas (in neutral of course). The Atlas has made long ATV trips much more enjoyable. Buy it!
Very reliable and much better than the low-priced copies. Not a substitute for an electronic cruise control, but very useful for giving your hand a break, especially on long flat stretches.
I installed the Atlas throttle lock years ago on my KTM690. I really like it and would buy it again. The new pads work well
It works as it should and I didn’t have any problems with it; even when it had gotten wet.
I purchased the atlas cruise control for a 25 year old motorcycle. From the start I knew it was a good call. Even the packaging it came in was of the highest quality. Instructions were well laid out for installing the unit. Having been in the machine trades for fourty years, I was thoroughly impressed with its build quality. Thanks for a great product. Should be under $10, especially after making the initial investment
The Atlas takes the strain off of your long rides by freeing up your right hand and allowing you to rest when warranted. Being able to make precise micro or macro adjustments gives you more control than an electronic cruise control. The piece is well made and easy to use.
2014 Honda NC700X. #2 is too thick, #1 is too thin to maintain a grip. I cheated with a single square of electrical tape on the Stopper Arm to shim behind the friction Pad. Obvious improvement- I could probably use 2 layers of tape but I had already removed/reassembled the Lock 4 times and didn’t want to do it again. The slip-on pads are a nice design improvement over the adhesive pads. Good product.
The only thing I dislike is that the throttle it held in place using friction from a rubber pad that it pretty easily damaged, but it's cheap to get replacement pads. It also leads to limited/no markings unlike the ones that use screws to hold it in place.
As well as the usual ache from holding the throttle constant for any length of time, I have a painful elbow which can be relieved by repeatedly bending it. This device has proved a godsend. However, there is a bit of a learning curve. First is the location, which I found most comfortable after the initial guess, to be opposite the joint between thumb and forefinger with the throttle at rest, Second, is the pressure needed to engage the lock while at speed, without moving the throttle. That took several attempts to get right. On the plus side, the cancel button is instantaneous, and I like the ability to make minor adjustments to speed while the lock is engaged.
These guys are great. The bottom model on the hornet is a good fit, it is a little cumbersome and takes some getting used to. Im in no way worried about it coming off. Straight forward directions , excellent build quality.
This device allows your hand to relax on longer rides or when you need your right hand for a moment. Great added to my BMW G310GS!
Josh was so helpful in my purchase of my throttle lock parts for my 2024 Kawasaki Z500
i’ve tried multiple different mechanical cruise control devises and throttle lock is by far the best and most reliable. absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for a throttle lock.
Had an issue with the pad sticking but Atlas helped me get it working without sticking. Great product. Does what it should and great customer service.
Great product, but the small rubber holders need to have more sizes.
Thanks for the feedback, Paul! :) Noted! Please reach out if you have any issues. Thanks!
I have a Royal Enfield interceptor 6 50 which I do have a atlas on .. I was that impressed with it. I actually bought another one for my Indian scout. Great job loving it.
Something went wrong with my order. So O send an email to Atlas Moto. A very quick respons from Josh. Almost instantly knew what went wrong and made sure I got my order in time for my trip. He went as far as chooosing a different postal service to be sure it would be here on time. Customer service at that level is a rare commodity these days. Big shoutout to Atlas Moto and Josh off course. Superb! 🙏🏽
not plug and play BUT it never is!!!! fairly straightforward and when I did hit a roadblock Josh Hopkins (tech support) did a 100% GREAT job of getting me sorted. '21 HONDA CB500x upper model that needed the handgrip flange pulled back and adjusted to fit before there was enough clearance for the mechanism to fit. Now for some nice weather to give 'er a try! initially it works great, but a road trip is in order now!!!!! any excuse, right?
